Vegan/Raw Vegan Detox Day # 4 – Part of My Process

BREAKFAST

Today I started my day with a green meal drink as usual. Since I was determined to bust through the barrier of not hitting the gym I hit the road as soon as I made it & decided to finish it during my commute to the Loop. Delish!

LUNCH & MID-DAY SNACK

This was my lunch for the day. It was leftovers from dinner last night. After having a rough day and really being tested in the area of patience was nice to briefly dine with in good company. In the end I thought it was worth the way :-)

Here smaller portions contains a wild rice medely and garlic saurekraut. The larger portion is Karyn’s house salad (yummo!) salad I had left from her raw bar. Mixing flavors and dividing my meals into reasonable portions is good for me and it helps to reduce costs. I ate half of this with stir-fried veggie and hit the gym AGAIN then I ate the other half. I also decided I needed some convenient items for the weekend – going for at least 75% vegan raw so I went to RAW and got some new items to try. Polly, one of the owners, was so delightful & pleasant. She calls the items at RAW transition food with flavor. I agree!

DINNER

Dinner any one? This is what I had for dinner – well half of it. This is the dulce flake mixture w/ manna bread & veggies. I love how many of the items that I am purchasing now are have scripture foundation and biblical basis. I truly believe that I’m tapping into a new spiritual essence pertaining to my physical temple.

Confession: I think that one of the things about blogging is to be forthcoming and transparent – actually life in general. One thing that we were told is to know that we all will have slip ups just dont stay there and keep moving forward. Today was my first and hopefully my last.  So roday this Garrett’s cheese popcorn just kept calling my name & you know what? I caved :-(   I got back to the office and began to eat these cheesy concoction & my conscience hit me – what are you doing???? I took the remaining popcorn & toss it in the garbage – I don’t think I have ever thrown away some Garrett’s popcorn!!!!! I’m on the road to some real change people……
